Background

I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon but have worked in Vancouver, Washington for the past 30 years. I attended Franklin High School in Portland. As an undergraduate, I attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and Portland State University. As a graduate student, I attended the University of Washington. I received my juris doctor from Lewis and Clark School of Law in Portland, Oregon in 1981 and was admitted to practice in the State of Washington that year.

My law practice emphasizes services to individuals and families. My primary fields of practice include family law and divorce, adoption and guardianship.

During my early years of practice, I worked for a law firm. In 1987, I started my own practice.

My goals are to seek practical solutions for people with legal problems. I offer vigorous representation in both court hearings and in settlement negotiations and seek to keep my clients well informed. If the client’s interests and preferences are served by settlement, I will seek the best settlement for them that I can. If their best interests are served by litigation, I will vigorously represent them in court.

My organizational memberships include: The State of Washington Family Law Executive Coucil, Clark County and State of Washington Family Law Bar Sections, and Elder Law Section of the Bar.
